I’ve been on the job hunt for a few months now. Trying to move from self employed IT consultant/tech to a professional, structured setting. Today, I accepted a position as a well known Chicago institution and I am pretty pumped about it. My team, and I, are responsible for making sure all systems, hardwares, and softwares used by anyone/everyone all play nice together. That is our primary job function. We also provide tech support on the HelpDesk when they need it and a few other things.

The most exciting thing about this is turning off the job board alerts. Start date TBD. Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday.

Luckily my wife’s company, though small, has great benefits so that hasn’t been too much of a concern while I’ve been self employed. But it will be nice to have options.

Wasn’t sure . Moved here way back in 2000 myself. My 85 Jaguar yes. I was in the area and had a packed lunch and remembered one can often park on the street for free in the park there so ate my lunch next to the fountain and snapped the pic.

Nice, I thought so. I seem to remember seeing it on here before. . My grandmother had a late 80s XJ6 Vanden Plas, I always loved that car. I’ll be working down there again so I plan on having lunches in the park when it’s nice.
